In Camp Rock 3, Connect 3 is the band searching for a new opening act.
The film brings back the fictional band from the first two Camp Rock movies. Connect 3 consists of Shane Gray, Nate Gray, and Jason Gray, played by Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, and Kevin Jonas. In the story, the group is preparing for a major reunion tour when its scheduled opening act breaks up.
The band therefore returns to Camp Rock to find new talent. Campers compete for the chance to perform before Connect 3 on tour, creating the film’s central musical and dramatic conflict. This is different from the Jonas Brothers, the real-life group whose members portray Connect 3.
The name also connects the third film to the franchise’s earlier entries, where Shane, Nate, and Jason were already established performers. Camp Rock 3 uses their return to introduce a new generation of campers while keeping the original band involved.
