In Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, London is controlled by Templar Grand Master Crawford Starrick.
Set in 1868, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate follows twins Jacob and Evie Frye as they challenge Starrick’s influence across London. The Templars control institutions, businesses, gangs, and transportation networks, giving Starrick power over both the city’s economy and its criminal underworld.
The Frye twins arrive from Crawley and build the Rooks, a gang that opposes the rival Blighters. Their campaign takes them through districts such as Westminster, the City of London, and Whitechapel. Historical figures including Charles Darwin, Charles Dickens, and Queen Victoria also appear in the game.
The setting is industrial London during the Victorian era, not a generic nineteenth-century city. Its factories, railways, crowded streets, and class divisions are central to the game’s atmosphere and mission design.
