In 2007, which NFL team did Peyton Manning quarterback?

The story behind the answer

In 2007, Peyton Manning quarterbacked the Indianapolis Colts. Manning was the team’s starting quarterback throughout the 2007 season, following Indianapolis’s victory over the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI earlier that year.

The Colts had selected Manning with the first overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft. By 2007, he had become the central figure in Indianapolis’s high-powered offense, working with head coach Tony Dungy and a talented supporting cast that included wide receiver Marvin Harrison and, later, wide receiver Reggie Wayne.

Indianapolis finished the 2007 regular season with a 13–3 record and won the AFC South. Manning threw for 4,040 yards and 31 touchdowns during the regular season. The team played its final season in the RCA Dome before moving to Lucas Oil Stadium in 2008. A common mix-up is confusing Peyton Manning with his younger brother Eli, who was the New York Giants’ quarterback in 2007.
