In 2001, Larry Allen made the NFL Pro Bowl for which team?
Answer
Dallas Cowboys
Answer
Dallas Cowboys
Larry Allen made the 2001 NFL Pro Bowl as a member of the Dallas Cowboys. He was selected as an offensive guard on the NFC roster.
Allen had joined the Cowboys as a second-round pick in the 1994 NFL Draft and developed into one of the league's most dominant offensive linemen. His unusual combination of size, strength, athleticism, and mobility allowed him to excel at both guard and tackle during his career.
The 2001 selection was one of 11 Pro Bowl honors Allen earned. He had also been recognized as an All-Pro repeatedly and helped block for running back Emmitt Smith during the Cowboys' successful 1990s era. Dallas's 2001 roster included other notable players, but Allen was the team's lone Pro Bowl selection that season.
Allen later became a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and was named to both the NFL's 1990s and 2000s All-Decade Teams. The 2001 Pro Bowl itself was played in Honolulu, with the NFC defeating the AFC 38–17.
