The proposed United States Triumphal Arch associated with America250 is planned to be 250 feet tall.
The arch was proposed for Memorial Circle on Columbia Island in Washington, D.C. The location is near the Arlington Memorial Bridge and Arlington National Cemetery, across the Potomac River from the Lincoln Memorial.
Its planned height deliberately echoes the 250th anniversary it is intended to commemorate. The project is a proposal rather than an established historic monument, so its design, approvals, and construction status may change.
The arch should not be confused with the Arc de Triomphe in Paris or with Washington's existing memorial structures. The proposed American arch is a separate project created in connection with the 2026 semiquincentennial celebrations.
