Luis Enrique had won three UEFA Super Cups as a head coach after the 2026 final.
His victories came with Barcelona in 2015, Paris Saint-Germain in 2025 and Paris Saint-Germain again in 2026. The latest success came when Paris defeated Aston Villa 2–1 in Salzburg.
The achievement placed Enrique among the competition’s most successful coaches. Only Carlo Ancelotti and Pep Guardiola had won more Super Cups as head coaches after the 2026 edition, with five and four respectively.
Enrique’s total is distinct from his club’s trophy count. Paris Saint-Germain’s 2026 win was the club’s second Super Cup, whereas Enrique’s three victories include his earlier Barcelona triumph. He also became the coach of the third team to win consecutive editions, following Milan and Real Madrid.
