Unai Emery had won five UEFA Cup or Europa League titles by 2026.
His first three victories came with Sevilla in 2014, 2015 and 2016. He then won the competition with Villarreal in 2021, before adding a fifth title with Aston Villa in 2026.
The Aston Villa triumph made Emery the first coach to win the competition with three different clubs. Villa defeated Freiburg 3–0 in the 2025–26 final in Istanbul, earning the European title that sent the club into the 2026 UEFA Super Cup.
Emery’s Super Cup record is a separate statistic. He was a runner-up with Sevilla in 2014 and 2015, and with Villarreal in 2021. In 2026 he faced Luis Enrique’s Paris Saint-Germain, but Villa lost 2–1 in Salzburg, so Emery’s fifth Europa League title did not lead to a second Super Cup victory.
