Messi has won four UEFA Champions League titles. All four victories came with Barcelona, in 2006, 2009, 2011 and 2015.
His first title came in 2006, although he missed the final through injury. Barcelona then defeated Manchester United in the 2009 final in Rome, with Messi scoring a headed goal in a 2–0 victory. In 2011, Barcelona again beat Manchester United, winning 3–1 at Wembley with Messi scoring one of the goals.
His fourth triumph arrived in 2015, when Barcelona defeated Juventus 3–1 in Berlin as part of a historic treble. Messi also scored in the 2009 and 2011 finals, but he did not win the competition with Paris Saint-Germain or Inter Miami. A common mix-up is confusing Champions League titles with Ballon d’Or awards: Messi has won four European titles but many more individual honors.
