The standard edition of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy contains 13 tracks. Its official sequence runs from “Dark Fantasy” through “Who Will Survive in America.”
Released on November 22, 2010, the album was Kanye West’s fifth studio album. It emerged from recording sessions in Hawaii during a period when West was rebuilding his public image after the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards controversy. The record combines soul samples, orchestration, progressive rap, and large-scale collaborations.
The track count can be confused because some digital editions added “See Me Now” as an iTunes bonus track, making 14 songs in that version. That bonus track is separate from the standard edition. The album’s numbered sequence also includes “All of the Lights (Interlude)” as its own track, even though it is brief and functions as an introduction to the full “All of the Lights.”
