Jackie Robinson was selected to six MLB All-Star Games. He made the All-Star team in six consecutive seasons, from 1949 through 1954.
Robinson's first All-Star selection came two years after his historic 1947 debut. In that 1949 season, he also won the National League MVP award, becoming the first Black player to receive the honor. Robinson was selected during an era when the All-Star Game featured a smaller number of players than modern rosters, making repeated selections especially significant.
A common mix-up is confusing Robinson's six All-Star selections with his six World Series appearances. They are different achievements: he reached the World Series six times during his career, while his All-Star selections covered the 1949–1954 seasons. Robinson played his final MLB season in 1956 and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962, his first year of eligibility.
