Serena Williams won the Wimbledon women’s singles title seven times.
Her Wimbledon victories came in 2002, 2003, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2015 and 2016. Her first two titles arrived in consecutive years, when she defeated her sister Venus Williams in both finals—a remarkable family chapter in the tournament’s history.
Serena’s seven singles championships place her among Wimbledon’s most successful women’s players. Only Martina Navratilova, with nine titles, and Steffi Graf, also with seven, had matching or higher totals in the Open Era when Serena completed her Wimbledon career.
The number seven refers only to singles. Serena also won six Wimbledon women’s doubles titles with Venus, giving her 13 Wimbledon championships across singles and doubles. Her final Wimbledon singles triumph came in 2016, when she defeated Angelique Kerber in the final.
