Pelé won the Copa Libertadores twice, with Santos in 1962 and 1963.
Santos defeated Peñarol in the 1962 final, then overcame Boca Juniors in the 1963 final. Pelé was the attacking centerpiece of a remarkable Santos side that also included stars such as Coutinho, Pepe, Zito and Gilmar. These were Santos's first two Libertadores titles and Brazil's first triumphs in the competition.
The 1962 victory was especially significant because Santos went on to win the Intercontinental Cup that year, defeating Benfica. In 1963, Santos repeated both achievements, beating Milan in the Intercontinental Cup after a three-match series. Pelé therefore won two Libertadores and two Intercontinental Cups during his peak years with Santos.
A common mix-up is confusing Pelé's Libertadores total with Santos's overall total. Santos later won the competition again in 2011, but Pelé had left the club decades earlier. Pelé also won several Brazilian and state championships, but those are separate competitions.
