How many seasons did House M.D. produce?
Answer
Eight
Answer
Eight
House M.D. produced eight seasons. The medical drama began in 2004 and concluded in 2012 after following Gregory House and his changing diagnostic teams at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital.
Across its run, the series used a familiar case structure: House and his colleagues investigated an unexplained illness, proposed competing diagnoses, tested hypotheses, and revised their conclusions as new evidence appeared. The personal lives of the doctors developed alongside those medical stories.
The cast and workplace changed over time. Characters such as Eric Foreman, Robert Chase, Allison Cameron, Thirteen, and Taub served on different versions of House’s team. Lisa Cuddy also played a major administrative role before leaving the series.
The eighth season was the final season. Its concluding episode, “Everybody Dies,” aired on May 21, 2012. Counting seasons rather than episodes or broadcast years avoids a common mix-up: the show occupied parts of nine calendar years but had eight numbered seasons.
