Tom Brady won three regular-season NFL Most Valuable Player awards. The Associated Press selected him as league MVP in 2007, 2010, and 2017 while he was the quarterback of the New England Patriots.
His first MVP came in 2007, when Brady led the Patriots to a 16–0 regular-season record and threw 50 touchdown passes, then an NFL record. He won again in 2010 after guiding New England to a 14–2 record. His third award arrived in 2017, when he became the league’s oldest MVP at age 40 after throwing for 4,577 yards and 32 touchdowns.
These awards are separate from Super Bowl MVP honors. Brady won five Super Bowl MVP awards, but those recognize individual performances in championship games rather than regular-season play. That distinction explains why some summaries appear to list a different total.
Brady’s three regular-season MVPs place him among the most decorated quarterbacks in NFL history. He never won the award in 2020 or 2021, despite leading Tampa Bay to a Super Bowl title in the 2020 season and setting major passing records late in his career.
