The Chicago Bulls won 72 regular-season games in the 1995–96 season.
Chicago finished the 82-game schedule with a 72–10 record, setting an NBA record for regular-season victories at the time. The team was led by Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman, with Phil Jackson coaching the group through one of the most dominant seasons in league history.
The Bulls started 41–3 and maintained a remarkable pace throughout the year. Jordan won the regular-season Most Valuable Player award, the scoring title and the All-Star Game MVP award, while the team combined elite defense, rebounding and transition offense.
The 72 wins were not the end of the story. Chicago went 15–3 in the playoffs, defeated the Seattle SuperSonics in the NBA Finals and finished 87–13 overall. The record stood until the 2015–16 Golden State Warriors won 73 regular-season games, although Golden State did not win the championship that year.
