Cristiano Ronaldo has won one Premier League Golden Boot award. He earned it with Manchester United in the 2007–08 season, scoring 31 league goals in 34 appearances.
That season was Ronaldo’s first Premier League campaign as the competition’s leading scorer. His total helped Manchester United retain the league title, and the club also won the UEFA Champions League, defeating Chelsea in the final.
Ronaldo’s 31 goals made him the first Manchester United player to win the Premier League Golden Boot since Ruud van Nistelrooy in 2002–03. He later moved to Real Madrid, where he became one of Europe’s most prolific scorers, but he never won the Premier League award again.
A common mix-up is confusing the Golden Boot with the Premier League Player of the Season award. Ronaldo won Player of the Season twice, in 2006–07 and 2007–08, but claimed the Golden Boot only once. His 31-goal total was later surpassed by several players, including Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland.
