Pokémon Pokopia features 300 Pokémon in its core roster.
The selection draws from Pokémon Generations I through IX rather than limiting the game to one region or generation. This broad spread supports the game’s habitat-building design, because different Pokémon appear when players create environments suited to them.
Pokopia does not treat every Pokémon as a conventional battle opponent. Befriended Pokémon can teach Ditto moves, converse with other Pokémon, and help cultivate the rebuilt world. Their presence is therefore tied to exploration, construction, and habitat management as well as collection.
The total can be confused with the full National Pokédex, which contains far more than 300 species. Pokopia’s number is the game’s selected roster, not the complete number of Pokémon created for the franchise. Later downloadable content can add new areas or features, but the core game is described as featuring 300 Pokémon.
