Each main-draw singles field at the 2026 Cincinnati Open contained 96 players.
The tournament used a 96-player men’s singles draw and a 96-player women’s singles draw. This expanded format gives more competitors access to an ATP Masters 1000 or WTA 1000 main draw than the traditional 56- or 64-player structures used at some events.
A 96-player draw includes seeded players, direct entrants, qualifiers and wildcards. Some of the highest-ranked competitors receive byes into the second round, so the number of matches in the opening round is not the same as the total number of players in the draw.
The doubles competitions were smaller: each doubles main draw contained 32 teams. Therefore, 96 refers specifically to each singles field, not to the total number of athletes or teams participating across the tournament.
