Street Fighter 6 features three overarching game modes: Fighting Ground, World Tour, and Battle Hub.
Fighting Ground is the traditional fighting-game center, including local and online versus matches, training, arcade-style play, and other battle-focused options. World Tour is the single-player adventure, letting players create an avatar, explore Metro City and Nayshall, meet Street Fighter characters, and learn their fighting styles.
Battle Hub is the social online space. Players use avatars, challenge others at arcade cabinets, join ranked or casual matches, attend events, and play classic Capcom arcade games. These modes are sometimes confused with the game's three control types: Classic, Modern, and Dynamic. The control types change how players perform attacks, but they are not game modes.
The three-mode structure was part of Capcom's effort to make Street Fighter 6 accessible to newcomers while retaining the competitive 2D fighting core longtime fans expected. The game was released in 2023 and uses the RE Engine.
