The United States Semiquincentennial coin program includes five new quarter designs.
The five 2026 quarter themes are the Mayflower Compact, the American Revolutionary War, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States, and the Gettysburg Address. Together, they connect colonial beginnings, the Revolution, founding documents, and later national history.
The program is part of the circulating coin redesign authorized for the Semiquincentennial. The quarters are distinct from the American Women Quarters Program, which ran from 2022 through 2025, and from the earlier America the Beautiful Quarters series.
The number five can be easy to miss because the overall 2026 coin program includes other denominations, including a dime, half dollar, and dollar. The question asks specifically about the quarter designs, not the total number of commemorative coins.
