Lionel Messi won two Ligue 1 titles with Paris Saint-Germain. He was part of PSG’s championship-winning teams in the 2021–22 and 2022–23 seasons.
Messi joined Paris Saint-Germain in August 2021 after leaving Barcelona. In his first season in France, PSG regained the league title, finishing at the top of the table under Mauricio Pochettino. Messi scored six Ligue 1 goals that campaign and contributed several assists, although his first French season was below his usual scoring standards.
PSG retained the title in 2022–23, this time under Christophe Galtier. Messi was more influential domestically, scoring 16 league goals and helping the club finish ahead of Lens. The title was his second in France and his 11th domestic league championship overall at the time.
A common mix-up is confusing Messi’s Ligue 1 titles with PSG’s other trophies during his two-year spell. He also won the 2022 Trophée des Champions, but PSG did not win the UEFA Champions League during his time at the club.
