Messi won 10 La Liga titles with Barcelona.
His first Spanish league title came in the 2004–05 season, his first full campaign with Barcelona’s senior team. He added another championship in 2005–06, then helped Barcelona win three consecutive titles from 2008–09 through 2010–11 under Pep Guardiola. Later league triumphs came in 2012–13, 2014–15, 2015–16, 2017–18 and 2018–19.
The tenth title arrived in April 2019, when Barcelona defeated Levante 1–0 at Camp Nou. Messi scored the winning goal, clinching the championship with three matches still to play. It was also his first La Liga title as Barcelona’s captain.
The number can be confused with Barcelona’s total league championships, which is much higher, or with Messi’s other trophies. His 10 La Liga titles were all won with Barcelona, while he also collected multiple Copa del Rey and UEFA Champions League medals. He left Barcelona in 2021 after 17 seasons with the first team.
