Answer

How many good fairies are in Sleeping Beauty? There are three good fairies in Disney’s Sleeping Beauty.
The fairies are Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather. They serve as Princess Aurora’s guardians and fairy godmothers in Disney’s 1959 animated film. At Aurora’s christening, each fairy plans to give her a magical gift, but Maleficent interrupts before Merryweather can finish. Flora grants beauty, Fauna grants song, and Merryweather changes Maleficent’s death curse into a spell of enchanted sleep.
The trio later hides Aurora in the forest and raises her as Briar Rose. Their contrasting personalities drive much of the film’s humor: Flora is commanding, Fauna is gentle and artistic, and Merryweather is spirited and quick to challenge Flora. Their color associations are also distinctive—red for Flora, green for Fauna, and blue for Merryweather.
The number is sometimes confused because other fairy tales use different counts of fairies, godmothers, or magical guests. In Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, however, the named good-fairy group is specifically three. They also help Prince Phillip escape Maleficent’s castle before his final battle with her.
