The 1988 Mission: Impossible revival series had 35 episodes.
The ABC revival aired from October 23, 1988, through February 24, 1990, and lasted two seasons. Its first season contributed 19 episodes, while the second season contributed 16, for a total of 35. The series was produced as a continuation of the original 1966–1973 program rather than as an entirely separate concept.
Peter Graves returned as Jim Phelps, the IMF leader, and the new team included Nicholas Black, Max Harte, Casey Randall, Shannon Reed, and Grant Collier. Production took place in Australia, including Queensland and Melbourne, and the revived show updated the original's tape briefing into a disc-based message system.
The episode total can be confused with the original series, which had 171 episodes over seven seasons. The revival was cancelled after its second season, partly after ABC's scheduling changes placed it against strong competing programs. Its 35-episode run therefore covers the complete 1988–1990 revival.
