Answer
14.6 million
Answer
14.6 million
Pokémon Yellow sold approximately 14.6 million copies worldwide.
Released in Japan in 1998 and internationally from 1999 onward, Pokémon Yellow is an enhanced version of the first-generation Pokémon games. It follows the visual and character approach of the anime more closely than Pokémon Red and Blue, giving the player Pikachu as the required starting partner.
Unlike the original games, Pikachu follows the player in the overworld and reacts to the player’s treatment. The game also includes anime-inspired appearances by Jessie, James, and Meowth, although its main adventure remains set in Kanto.
Its sales helped make Pokémon Yellow one of the best-selling titles for the Game Boy family. The figure is separate from the combined sales of Pokémon Red, Green, and Blue, and also separate from the later Pokémon Generation II games.
