The United States Semiquincentennial coinage includes five commemorative quarters for America250.
The 2026 semiquincentennial coin program includes several denominations and designs. Its planned pieces include cents and nickels from the current series, a commemorative dime, five quarters, a half dollar, and a one-dollar coin. Special gold pieces may also be included.
The quarters are part of a broader redesign program authorized by the Circulating Collectible Coin Redesign Act of 2020. That law also authorized the American Women Quarters Program and later commemorative circulating-coin programs. The semiquincentennial pieces therefore belong to a legislative framework broader than a single commemorative quarter.
The number five refers specifically to the quarter denomination. It does not mean five total coins, five designs across every denomination, or five states. The full program spans multiple denominations and uses the 250th anniversary to connect everyday coinage with the nation’s founding history.
