Arthur Fils earned 1,000 ATP ranking points for winning the 2026 Cincinnati Open.
Cincinnati is an ATP Masters 1000 tournament, and the champion of an ATP Masters 1000 singles event receives 1,000 ranking points. Fils collected those points by defeating Frances Tiafoe in the final.
The points can substantially affect a player’s ranking because Masters 1000 events are the highest-level regular tournaments below the Grand Slams and the year-end ATP Finals. They also contribute to qualification races and tournament seeding.
The 1,000-point award is separate from the event’s prize money and from the number of matches won. A finalist receives fewer points than the champion, even if the final is closely contested.
