Jordan's first All-Star MVP came in 1988 in Chicago, where he scored 40 points, grabbed eight rebounds, made four steals, and blocked four shots in the East's 138–133 victory. He won the award again in 1996, his first All-Star appearance after returning from his initial retirement and leading the Bulls back to the top of the league.
His third award arrived in 1998, when he scored 23 points with six rebounds and eight assists. That season, he also won the regular-season MVP and Finals MVP as Chicago captured its sixth championship. Those three awards are separate from Jordan's five regular-season MVPs and six NBA Finals MVPs, a distinction that often causes trivia players to mix up the totals. His 14 All-Star selections are another separate achievement.
