Answer
22:00–23:00 local time
From mid-northern latitudes, the 2026 Perseid radiant reaches a reasonable elevation from about 22:00–23:00 local time.
The radiant is the apparent point in the sky from which shower meteors seem to travel. It is not necessarily the best place to stare, because meteors can streak across a broad area of sky; nevertheless, a higher radiant generally improves the number of meteors visible above the horizon.
The Perseid radiant rises in the evening and climbs through the night for observers in the Northern Hemisphere. This makes the hours after midnight and before dawn especially productive, when the observer’s location faces more directly into the incoming meteoroid stream.
Viewing time also depends on latitude, local horizon obstructions, darkness, and weather. A low radiant can hide many meteors below the horizon, while a high radiant increases the observable rate.
