Frank Wedekind's Lulu plays inspired which 1929 film titled Pandora's Box?

The story behind the answer

Frank Wedekind's Lulu plays inspired the 1929 film Pandora's Box. Georg Wilhelm Pabst adapted elements from Earth Spirit and Pandora's Box, the two plays that make up Wedekind's Lulu dramatic cycle.

The story centers on Lulu, a sexually independent woman whose relationships and social position lead to escalating tragedy. Louise Brooks played Lulu in Pabst's film, while Fritz Kortner and Franz Lederer were among the other principal performers. The movie changes and condenses the stage material but preserves its interest in desire, respectability, and social judgment.

Wedekind's Lulu material also inspired Alban Berg's unfinished opera Lulu, which premiered posthumously in 1937 and 1979 in different forms. The 1929 film should not be confused with Berg's opera or with unrelated productions called Pandora's Box.
