Frank Oz voiced Yoda and what other famous puppet

Frank Oz voiced Yoda and Miss Piggy, two of the most famous puppets in popular entertainment.

Oz became one of Jim Henson’s principal performers after joining the Henson organization in 1963. He performed Miss Piggy on “The Muppet Show,” which premiered in 1976, giving the character her distinctive diva personality, sharp comic timing, and trademark karate-chop outbursts. Miss Piggy became closely associated with Kermit the Frog and developed into one of the Muppets’ central stars.

Oz also performed Yoda in the “Star Wars” films, beginning with “The Empire Strikes Back” in 1980. Yoda’s unusual speech pattern, gentle humor, and physical performance helped make the Jedi Master an enduring film character.

The distractors are plausible because Oz also performed Cookie Monster, Bert, Grover, Fozzie Bear, Animal, and other puppets. Kermit, however, was primarily performed by Jim Henson, while Big Bird was performed by Caroll Spinney. Frank Oz’s work therefore connected “Star Wars,” “The Muppets,” and “Sesame Street.”
