At which Super Bowl did Beyoncé perform with Coldplay and Bruno Mars?

The story behind the answer

Beyoncé performed with Coldplay and Bruno Mars at Super Bowl 50.

The halftime show took place on February 7, 2016, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Coldplay headlined the performance, while Beyoncé and Bruno Mars appeared as featured performers. Beyoncé performed “Formation,” which had been released the day before, and joined a large ensemble built around the show’s colorful visual design.

This was Beyoncé’s second Super Bowl halftime appearance. She had headlined the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show in 2013, where Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams joined her for a reunion. The two appearances are therefore easy to confuse.

Super Bowl 50 was played between the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers. The Broncos won 24–10. The halftime event is especially remembered for Beyoncé’s “Formation” performance and its choreography, costumes, and cultural symbolism.
