At which film festival did the 2006 movie Quinceañera win its two U.S. Dramatic awards?

The 2006 movie Quinceañera won its two U.S. Dramatic awards at the Sundance Film Festival.

At the festival, the film received both the U.S. Dramatic Grand Jury Prize and the U.S. Dramatic Audience Award. The double win made it one of the best-known independent films associated with that year’s Sundance program.

Sundance is an American film festival strongly associated with independent cinema. Its competitive awards are separate from awards at major international festivals such as Cannes, Venice, and Berlin.

The film’s festival success is distinct from the cultural tradition that inspired its title. Quinceañera portrays a particular family and neighborhood; it is not a universal documentary account of how every quinceañera is celebrated.
