At which bar does Holden arrange to meet Sally Hayes after their date?

Holden arranges to meet Sally Hayes at the Wicker Bar after their date. The meeting takes place during Holden’s restless night in New York, after he has become increasingly isolated and has been drinking.

At the Wicker Bar, Holden also meets Carl Luce, an older former schoolmate from Whooton School. Holden is eager to revive the kind of sexual conversations he remembers from school, but Luce is embarrassed by Holden’s behavior and quickly becomes impatient. Luce tells him that he should see a psychoanalyst, then leaves the bar.

The Wicker Bar is therefore easy to confuse with the Lavender Room, the nightclub in the Edmont Hotel where Holden dances with the three tourist women and later encounters the pianist Ernie. The Oak Room and Walled Garden are not the relevant locations in Holden’s New York itinerary.
