At the 2021 Grammys, Taylor Swift performed "august" in a medley with "cardigan" and "willow."

The performance took place at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards on March 14, 2021. Swift began with "cardigan," performed "august" inside a cottage while playing guitar, and then moved outside for "willow."

The medley connected two Folklore songs with a song from Evermore, its sister album. Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner accompanied Swift, marking the first time the three performed together publicly.

The performance is often remembered as a Folklore-era visual moment because it used a cottage setting, woodland imagery, and a continuous arrangement. It should not be confused with a medley of only the three love-triangle songs: "willow" replaced "betty" in the Grammy performance.
