At the 2021 Grammy Awards, Taylor Swift performed “August” immediately after “Cardigan” in a medley. She then continued with “Willow,” creating a three-song performance connected to her 2020 albums.
The ceremony was the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, held on March 14, 2021. Swift performed with Folklore producers Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner, marking the first time the three appeared together in performance.
The staging used a cottage-inspired setting. Swift began with “Cardigan” while lying on top of a cottage, moved inside for “August” with a guitar, and then performed “Willow” outside with Antonoff and Dessner.
“Betty” is a natural wrong answer because it is part of the same Folklore love-triangle narrative as “August.” However, the Grammy medley used “Cardigan,” “August,” and “Willow,” not “Betty.”
