As of 2026, how many different evolutions does Eevee have?

The story behind the answer

As of 2026, Eevee has eight different evolutions. They are Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon.

Eevee first appeared in the original Pokémon games as a Normal-type Pokémon with unusual evolutionary flexibility. In the earliest games, players could evolve it into Vaporeon, Jolteon, or Flareon by using a Water Stone, Thunder Stone, or Fire Stone. Later generations added evolutions tied to friendship, location, or a Fairy-type move.

The eight forms cover several different types but are not all available through the same method. Espeon and Umbreon use friendship and time of day, while Sylveon requires friendship and a Fairy-type move in games with the relevant mechanics. The collective nickname “Eeveelutions” refers to all of them.
