Around which planet does the moon Pandora orbit?

The story behind the answer

The moon Pandora orbits Saturn.

Pandora is a small inner satellite of Saturn and acts as a shepherd moon of the planet’s narrow F ring. Its gravity helps influence the ring’s particles, although the neighboring moon Prometheus has the more prominent shepherding role. The pairing of the names Pandora and Prometheus reflects their connection in Greek mythology.

Voyager 1 images led to Pandora’s discovery in 1980, and the moon was later given its mythological name. It is an irregular, icy body with a heavily cratered surface and is much smaller than Saturn’s major moons, such as Titan or Rhea.

Pandora is sometimes confused with Prometheus because both moons are associated with Saturn’s F ring and were discovered around the same period. They are separate satellites: Pandora orbits outside the F ring, while Prometheus orbits inside it.
